Coach Robinson then moved into the Activities Director (AD) position at G-F from 1991 to 2003. He would prove to be a very effective contributor in his new position. During his time as AD, G-F’s facilities were greatly upgraded and the school won nine state, 86 district and 39 regional championships. Chuck certainly solidified G-F’s place as the School of Champions. Today he continues to be a popular figure. As stated by three of his former players, Warren, Mark, and Gordon Jenkins: “The legacy of Coach Robinson is this—that he profoundly influenced us as young men…many, many young men over many, many years. He wanted us to succeed, not just in the game of football, but more importantly in life!” |
